Overview
Willem was admitted as a legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia in April 1994 and was admitted as a conveyancer in July 1995.
He started his career as a conveyancer by doing conveyancing work for the National Housing Enterprise (Namibia’s SOE tasked with supplying low-income housing) and various local authorities. His areas of practice currently focus on property law, general and specialized conveyancing, which includes transfer of immovable property, registrar on of mortgage bonds, township establishment and development, subdivisions, and sectional title developments.

* Experience prior to joining Bowmans
- Green Building Construction (Pty) Ltd in respect of the commercial and sectional title properties in the Windhoek Waterfront development adjacent to the Goreangab dam in Windhoek.
- OB Davids Properties CC in respect of developments in Arandis and Rundu.
- United Africa Group in respect of the disposal of their immovable property portfolio.
- The Swakopmund Waterfront development in Swakopmund which consisted of sectional title units, freestanding erven and a commercial development which became Swakopmund’s largest mall.
- The development of the Swakopmund Extension 22 township including all conveyancing work to register the township and transfer 200 erven in the township to purchasers.
- The 1990 South sectional title development in the CBD of Windhoek consisting of 170 commercial and residential sectional title units.
- The transfer of most of the accommodation sites in Namibia’s national parks from the Government of Namibia-to-Namibia Wildlife Resort (SOE).
