Overview
Romane is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution Department of our Johannesburg office and a member of the Litigation Practice.
She joined Bowmans in January 2015 as a candidate attorney in our Durban office in the Shipping and Litigation practices and assisted clients in the maritime industry with vessel and bunker arrests, ship sales, claiming from sale funds, salvage, security and other related issues.
Romane is now a member of the litigation team in our Johannesburg office. Her experience covers a wide range of disputes and settlements in areas of commercial, corporate, employment and insurance law, as well as general and commercial litigation in both the High Court and the Magistrate’s Court.
Since 2011, Romane has been a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, and was also appointed as a student mentor in 2013. She was employed as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Unit of Maritime Law, UKZN for the year of 2014, and is accordingly an experienced researcher in respect of a wide range of maritime related topics, including oil pollution, maritime security and salvage.
