She has experience in a wide range of employment, corporate commercial, conveyancing, intellectual property, data protection, and dispute resolution matters.

Experience

Corporate Commercial

  • Reviewing and drafting legal documents including term sheets, share purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, non-disclosure agreements, memorandums of understanding, non-disclosure agreements, consultancy contracts and other transactional documents.
  • Advised a Kenyan client in the telecommunications industry, in a subscription transaction by a leading international communications company in the world.
  • Advised a manufacturer and distributor of energy saving and environment friendly equipment, in a subscription transaction by an international investor.

Employment

  • Advising a client in the hospitality industry in relation to various day to day general employment matters including advising it on termination and suspension procedures and the correct procedure for carrying out disciplinary procedures for senior and junior staff members.
  • Advising a leading oil marketer in relation to the implementation of a voluntary early retirement program and redundancies.
  • Advising a leading packaging manufacturer and a subsidiary of the Canadian Overseas Packaging, in overhauling its employment policies, employment contracts, company organogram, and employment policies.
  • Advising one of Africa’s fastest growing e-commerce companies in relation to various employment matters, including preparation and review of different types of employment and consultancy contracts; preparation and review of the staff handbook, organisational policies and protocols; assisting and advising on disciplinary matters; employment compliance trainings and skill development; and advising on redundancy and staff rationalisation programs across the company’s operation hubs within Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, Ivory Coast).
  • Advising on mutual separation agreements between corporate clients and c-suite executive employees.
