Overview
Millard Arnold is a senior advisor to the firm based in our Johannesburg office where he advises the Competition practice group. He specialises in general commercial law.
He previously served as Honorary Business Representative for the Government of Singapore in South Africa and as the chief executive officer of the South African Business Schools Association.
Experience
Millard was formerly with a prominent American international law firm; served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the United States and the first ever U.S. Minister-Counsellor for Commercial Affairs for the continent of Africa; was Executive Chairman for Black & Veatch Africa and executive director and group legal counsel for a leading South African construction company. He was also an associate professor of law at Turo University in New York and adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Awards
Millard is the recipient of the United States Department of Commerce’s Gold Medal Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Federal Service for consistent innovation, energy and quality performance in major high-level events supporting Administration and Departmental initiatives and objectives in Africa.
