Dean du Toit is a senior associate in our Corporate Department of our Johannesburg office and a member of the Tax Practice.

Dean has over 10 years of tax experience. Dean has acted for both local and multi-national clients including both South African and foreign corporates in a variety of industries including banks and financial institutions, health and medical, insurance, financial services, telecommunications, mining, food and beverage, retail, logistics and property.

Dean’s experience includes advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate tax issues and international tax related matters. He is also experienced in corporate restructuring, debt restructuring, tax due diligence work, private equity transactions, black economic empowerment transactions, tax dispute resolution, tax opinions and deal implementation.

Prior to joining Bowmans, Dean worked at a leading South African law firm and an at two of the “Big Four” audit firms where he worked with local and multi-national clients across multiple sectors.
