Overview

From 2001 to 2004, Beate served as the Chief Trust Officer at First National Bank of Namibia Ltd, gaining experience in the administration of deceased estates, administration of trusts, estate planning and drafting of wills. In 2003 Beate qualified as a Conveyancer and re-joined Koep as a fully qualified Conveyancer early in 2005. She served on the Law Society of Namibia’s Wills and Estates Committee, Conveyancing Committee as well as the Conveyancing Examination Committee for several years.

Beate’s focus is on real estate law and conveyancing, real estate transactions, general conveyancing matters and transfer of ownership in immovable property, advising on real estate law, negotiating and closing of real estate transactions and facilitation of real estate projects and new developments, including sectional title developments, drafting of agreements related to real estate transactions, township development and any commercial matters relating to real estate development, registration of securities such as mortgage bonds and notarial bonds, drafting of notarial deeds and all other conveyancing documents as well as the administration of deceased estates, estate planning and drafting of wills.

Beate has attended to the registration of several larger sectional title developments, such as 51 on Lazarette, Moth Centre, Elisenheim Lifestyle 305 and 306, Lafrenz Industrial Park and the B1 City mall. She advised Absa Bank on and attended to the registration of securities in respect of two-phase extensions of the Maerua Mall shopping mall in Windhoek.

She advises the US Embassy in Windhoek on all their property related matters and attends to their property transfers. She oversees and attends to Namibia Diamond Corporation Namibia (Pty) Ltd (NamDeb’s) bulk property transfers in Oranjemund to their staff members. Beate advises and attends to the registration of securities for Standard Bank Namibia Ltd, Nedbank Namibia Ltd as well as Letshego Bank Namibia Ltd and Absa Bank Ltd.

Furthermore, Beate has been working with the City of Windhoek on various conveyancing matters for over the past few years. She is thus conversant with the requirements and procedures for the Municipal Council of Windhoek conveyancing.
