Although Bowman Gilfillan does not offer immigration law services, we do keep abreast of the law as many of the provisions, especially those relating to work permits, directly affect our clients, especially foreign clients and investors.rnrnWe therefore wish to advise our clients that the regulations issued in terms of the Immigration Act, no 13 of 2002, have been totally replaced by a new set of regulations by the previous minister of Home Affairs, Naledi Pandor, with far reaching consequences for persons applying for temporary residence permits (including work permits and intra-company transfer visas). These new regulations entered into force, totally unannounced, on 26 May 2014.
