Members of our Oil and Gas Practice wrote the South African chapter of The International Comparative Legal Guide to Oil & Gas Regulation 2018. 

The chapter provides a detailed overview of the various laws governing the South African oil and gas industry and insights into recent regulatory developments.  Topics and issues covered include, among other things: general overviews of the natural gas and oil sectors; an outline of the legislative framework governing exploration and production, including the applicable fiscal considerations; insights into the regulation of midstream and downstream operations; as well as a synopsis of recent regulatory developments.
