On Monday, 7 March 2016, the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) conducted its first dawn raid at the offices of fertiliser producers Mea Limited and Yara East Africa, both of which are members of the Fertiliser Association of Kenya (FAK). The CAK reportedly suspects price collusion between the fertiliser companies and was seeking board reports, presentations, pricing data and circulars to detect other contraventions of the Competition Act.
