The COMESA Competition Commission (CCC) has been in operation since January 2013. The CCC is charged with enforcing the supranational competition regime of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). In its early years of operation it has developed extensive experience in merger control, and is taking first steps in investigation and enforcement in its other areas of competence.
This brochure provides a brief overview of the COMESA competition regime, the CCC’s activities and the impact on international business.
